If you're looking for an infinite mana combo, there's one in standard right now with {Axebane Guardian} + any 3 defenders ({fog bank} works well) + {Galvanic Alchemist}

And there's a million billion synergies with the two colors, considering blue lacks power but has effects, and green lacks effects but has power (typically, and over generalized, but true), so mixing the two together often has interesting results.

Ex. {Distortion strike} + gigantic green creatures, or {Giant growth} on blue's smaller, tricky creatures.

For {1}? No. That'd be horrendously broken (and in many of my decks). 😎

A few cards let you untap for {U}: {Pemmin's Aura}, {Freed from the Real}.

Others for {2}{U}: {Crab Umbra}, {Galvanic Alchemist}.

If you can tack them onto a creature that will provide the cost + 1 (or more), you have infinite mana.

Short of {Mycosynth Lattice}, I have yet to find a card that allows mana conversion from a nonland source to {U}. With the Lattice, however, you could use an untap aura on the {Deranged Assistant} for unlimited self-mill.

What about non-mana combos? I feel like I severely limited what combos people would say with that one...

Thanks. Anything that's crazy and unexpected for those 2 colors? I want to go to a torny and my opponents be like..."oh, blue/green. His deck opperates like this." but pull off wacky and unexpected stuff consistently. Even if I don't win

You just gotta develop an eye for cards with combo potential, in order to become Johnny.

Cards with a limited scope of use often combo poorly. One-time effects tend to be a combo dead-end. Re-usable or triggered abilities are a good bet. Search "infinite" on iMtG for ideas.

As far as "typical" functions of a color, it is only as typical as you make it. There are thousands of different cards and plenty of options for each color. Tribals are popular because they're easy to build, but go outside that box and it gets way more complex and unpredictable. Throw in artifacts and it just gets more nuts.
