{Panoptic Mirror}, does the copy carry through to your opponant's turn? Or do you have to use the copy on your own?

Gorzo

The mirror only activates on your own upkeep, if that is what you are asking. You won't get a copy of the instant/sorcery on opponents' upkeeps, just your own.

Deathseide

What is asked is if the copy that can be created can be saved until the opponant's turn, or will the copy vanish at the end of your turn.

Wow good question. Not sure, although my gut tells me it's gone if you don't use it right away.

tsul25

If you choose to make the copy you have to cast it right away.

This.  The copy is cast immediately as part of the mirror's ability. You can't resolve just a part of an ability, and certainly can't wait to resolve the rest of it at a later time of your choosing.  Has to be right when the ability resolves.

The copy or copies of cards stay on the artifact but can only be used in the beginning of your upkeep... You can copy it(imprint ) anytime u want as long as the artifact is untapped

Poof

I don't think u read the card raven card says u can only copy at beginning of upkeep

I thought you could use artifects abilities on you or your opponents turn
So why couldn't you do that?

I didn't read the card right

The "may" opt of paying the CMC is offered with this card's copy so why the ruling against the ability to pay alternative cost. The player is given a choice on the card. I can choose to make a copy and then choose to pay its CMC instead or not in order to cast the spell. One would presume if I pay the CMC I could pick to pay alternative and additional costs not just the additional cost.

You have a choice to copy, then a choice to cast. I understand the ruling but am left thinking it should say "you can cast this w/out paying its castings cost" or "if you cast this you will not (have to) pay its casting cost" instead of "you may cast this w/out paying casting cost" by saying "may" it implies more of a choice when you don't.

I understand that's the way it is. No if's and's or but's. Just hoping/thinking they can be more clear with the text in the future. But then again I guess that's why they have rulings to sort that stuff out. Thanks for the feedback.
