Could I cast {spellwine} and use it to exile {bondfire of the damned} for infinite damage

No. Spelltwine sees x as 0
Actually hang on. It says cast them for free if able so I'm not entirely sure but I will stand by my original answer

X is always 0 when you cast something without paying for it.
