How many?

So how many decks do you guys have?   I have two serious decks hat I am constantly tuning and then 6 or 7 others that are for casual.  This is after I broke apart about 4 decks that I just wasn't happy with.

So, how many?  What kind of variety?  Or are they pretty similar?

I used to have about 5, but i took apart the casual ones and now i have 2 standard. I usually make aggro builds, but i just finished up a fog build too.

Do you get bored with ideas for a deck or do you tinker until it runs like you want?  My two standard I constantly adjust, but they are still true to my original designs.  Maybe because of time and money I haven't made huge changes to them.  Other decks have been created more on a whim.

I have 3 decks that I keep built at all times.  My colorless Eldrazi, mono black vampires, and whatever my standard happens to be.  Then, I am working on an angel deck of sorts on the side just for s and giggles.

I have a R/B vampire I was thinking about making mono with just a splash of red for the captain, but I haven't played it in a while.  I think that means it is time to switch it up.

I have three standards and an EDH. My main deck is a mono black {blood artist} deck that is conpletely finished. Well, im satisfied with it FOR NOW. I get bored easily. Another is a UB zombie deck that isnt all that competitive. I just play it for fun because i love zombies. The third is an Izzet {guttersnipe} deck thats still in testing mode. Ill be able to focus on it more now that my main deck is finished. I also made a {shrieking affliction} discard deck that is major fun but needs a lot of tweaking.

Up until recently I had more than 40 decks that I kept together to show newer people different play styles and sets (mainly modified precons). But my coworker made me realize that the more decks I keep the more it hinders what I have for trade. So rather than have them collect dust, between disbanding decks and making new ones I've got about 5 casual decks I still refuse to take apart, 3 commander decks which I want to take apart 1 but can't decide which, 1 standard deck, and about 10 other decks Ill probably keep taking apart lol..

I have 4 standerd deck ( g/w, mbc, a attempt at a new delver, and u/w shinanigans deck) all of which I keep changeling to run better and better. I also have 4 commander decks ( mbc, competitive Damia, vamps, and competitive omnath) all of which get played all the time I love commander

I have 30+ decks because I am a casual player. I play with different decks all the time because if I played with the same 5 decks over and over, I'd shoot myself of boredom. They range from deadly to silly. It depends on what mood I'm in. If I just wanna play to play, I will use a mix of silly and serious decks. If I want to rip someone's head off, then I use my deadly decks. Depends on what mood I'm in. But I can't take those decks apart because just like someone pointed out, those decks may be sitting there collecting dust, but at least they aren't just a collection of cards I don't use collecting dust in my closet.

You are not alone sir. I can't take apart decks if I think they can still fall under one of two conditions.

1) they are still super fun to play

2) they can actually do what they are supposed to.

If they fall under one of those two categories, I can't take them apart. And since everyone in my playgroup has alot of different types of decks, I like to have options. Having only a handful of decks takes the fun outta deck building.

As of right now I have 1 standard deck and am thinking of a 2nd. I've never really had more then 2 decks and that was when I did play EDH.
