It just hit me. Axebane + Galvanic alchemist and 3 more defenders equals infinite mana.

You actually only need 2 other defenders for endless mana, Axebane counts himself. And if those two other creatures are another alchemist and a Doorkeeper that's endless mill!

You actually only need 2 other defenders for endless mana, Axebane counts himself. And if those two other creatures are another alchemist and a Doorkeeper that's endless mill!

That would only provide infinite tap/untap with {axebane guardian}. Wouldnt give any extra mana. Would need three other defenders to create a surplus of one mana, creating the infinite mana loop.

Back to topic. I have a similar deck but i use the mana combo on {diabolic revelation} to search my whole deck and then drop {omniscience} and then play every card for free. Which, right now, means {staff of nin} + {oblivion ring} + {worldfire}.
