Daily Combo 9: Bad Choices

Today's card previews have brought us a W/B {Sorin, Lord of Innistrad}, i'd like to share with you something of his former self:

Ever minipulate someone's every action, only to find that they're boring?  They don't have any interesting choices to make? When using Sorin's mind-controlling (or {Mindslaver}ing) ability to take over your pal's turn, why not give them a chance to make some really bad decisions?  Too many questions?

{Sorin Markov} + {Vedalken Orrery} + {Pain's Reward}

You: You want to bid how much life?

You (as Them): I want those cards!  I'll bid 10,000 life!

You: Well, okay.  I won't try to out bid you. 

You (as Them): Yay!  *die*

Feel free to enact your opponent's actions with hand puppets (as I do).  Just don't try to actually use them as hand-puppets, that's unsanitary.

Yes, you could also use {Mindslaver} (that's why I mentioned it in the article. ).

I don't think the mind slaver would work because of the difference in text from sorins ability. If you only control their turn I don't think that you'd get to bid for them. However control target player during their turn is another story. Beautiful combo

I don't think the mind slaver would work because of the difference in text from sorins ability. If you only control their turn I don't think that you'd get to bid for them. However control target player during their turn is another story. Beautiful combo

If you read the ultimate of the M12 {Sorin Markov}, it reads different than the Zendikar one and is actually a lot more like {Mindslaver}. They have the same effect.

The new wording for Sorin makes more sense. You control the player, you can't really control a turn.

If you want to make this Standard, give them control of a {Spellskite}.

Sounds good, but there's no more {Bazaar Trader} in Standard. How would you give it to them?

Edit: {Spellskite} also requires a spell that targets a permanent. Why not one of the cheap common Souleaters from new Phyrexia?  {Pestilent Souleater}
