I wanted to write something around a card that was previewed on MtG today.  Thing is, usually the people presenting the card do a combo of sorts of their own.  Today, I'll work off of {Altar of the Lost} (yeah, I know the link don't work yet :P)

So, if this one lets you use the mana for Flashback from any graveyard, the question is, "How can I use this on other graveyards?"

{Altar of the Lost} + {Shaman's Trance}

Obviously, any combo that relies on something your opponent has means it's no good if they don't have it.  But if you know someone playing a Flashback deck, you  can mess with them.  hehe

I think we can do a little better though:

{Shaman's Trance} + {Yawgmoth's Will}

This works especially well if they have a mana producing spell like {Seething Song} or {Dark Ritual} or if you have an infinite mana combo of your own.  ;)

The sweet thing about this combo is that the Will only exiles the cards if they would go to your gy.  If they happen to go to your opponents gy, they stick and you can cast them again...and again...and again!  XD

What do you think?

Haha. Nice way to use a horrid card ({Shaman's Trounce})

I still think that a card with Flashback in their graveyard would be exiled, because of the fact that the card itself reads "You may play this card from your graveyard for it's Flashback cost, then exile it." I think the second part over-rules the {Yawgmoth's Will}, especially because the Will itself mentions YOUR graveyard, and nothing of theirs. I could be wrong though. î,,ˆ

You are right in that if you cast a card from their graveyard using flashback that it would be exiled.  So, using {Shaman's Trance} on their flashback cards will only let you use them once.

But, if you use {Yawgmoth's Will} and pay the regular cost to cast, the flashback won't apply.

I'm like Superman that way, (that and wearing tights under my underwear).  I like to take a lump o' coal and squeeze it into a diamond.

Oh! I see what your saying, you Trance INTO a Will for unlimited uses! Pretty nifty î
