Here's a weird question.

With RTR Block just coming out. What direction do you think WotC will go in after innistrad block is cycled out next october?

No clue, but, I'm hopefull we will get off the vampire, zombie, werewolf and tribal sets, even tho they are still big in the pop culture presently.  I also would like to see the artwork shift back to the way it was in older sets. There seems to be a sameness to all the art nowadays and it lacks memorability.

I love love love the old artwork. I'm not a big fan of the more "realistic" approach most of the cards are taking.

Totally agree with you. It would be awesome if WotC would bring back full art lands again due to the fact that some of the art work on the basic lands today are awesome.

WE'RE DUE FOR AN UN-SET! Please!

The realistic approach is terrible and in some cases creepy. I remember when there was controversy over the pentagram on the revised {unholy strength}. Cards like {extirpate} are creepy. Bring back Jeff A. Menges, Phil Foglio and even the people from the Urza block.

I think WOtC remembers how to make sets with a good balance of playable aggro AND control cards. They have kinda been lacking on good/devent control cards lately. They started doung a little better in Return to Ravnica.

Well ravinica allows for powerful color blending madness and there is a card that hits mono color creatures specificly {ultimate price}. These lea me to elieve we can expect a shift back to mono color cards, but perhaps with a lot of cross color interactions (things like {prized elephant} or {wild nactal} for example). Also magic is very combat orientated right now, i believe this is due to an attempt to make the game more approachable for newer players. We may be in for a more combo, synergy based time with the available lands and a need to change a evolve the meta. My personal hope is that {dreadbore} is an omen alluding to a planeswalker heavy plane. I would love to have uncommon planeswalkers, walkers that wouldnt totally change the flow of the game, but would instead inch your way to victory like a well supported creature would. Wizards has gotten fairly good at making low impact well costed walkers since their release and could probably pull this off. Just look at {tibalt, the fiend-blooded}.

Arabian Days. Back to the beginning again.

Someone mentioned that a Greek mythology block would be cool and I agree with them wholeheartedly. It would be so cool to have a bunch of legendary creatures like in kamigawa.

I'm still pulling for a western themed block.

I dot care what it is but I know 1 thing we will be seeing the eldrazi..real soon... Gideon still needs his " final solution"

Double-O-Scotch

I'll tell you what we will see. URZA.  A new nicol bolas vs urza. And a return to mono coloured standard. Maybe not, but I would be so stoked for that and buy box after box after box. Well, that's my 2 pence...
