Hey!

If I used a {switcheroo} on to take a creature that has an artifact attached to it, do I gain control of the artifact as well? Or can the "owner" still equip it to another creature he controls?

You gain control of the creature with the artifact still attached but the controller of the artifact is still its owner.
On that players turn he could re-equip it to another valid target.
