Ok, since I derped and posted this in the wrong section, I'll ask it now!

Ok, so I would really like to make a modern or legacy deck built around Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker.  I have a standard deck around him, but, standard kinda sucks   What are some staple cards in a deck?  I know there is one of the Ultimatums from Alara, but I can't think of which one.  I just need to know some good cards from older sets to put in.  Any help would be appreciated.

How Would u get 2 lands in play turn 1?

This is Legacy, folks.  You can get 3 mana on t1. 

{Island}, {Mox Sapphire}, {Sol Ring}

{Crystal Vein}, {Mox Diamond}

or good ol {Black Lotus}.

Ehhhhhh, {Black Lotus} and Moxen are banned. Try {Lotus Petal} and {City of Traitors}.

Yea you could T1 with {lotus petal} but I would not run the petals......they would hurt you by taking up a slot.  The only time they will help is with a king fu grip first hand.....and that is a long shot.

This type of deck runs lots of counterspells to stall until you set up the combo.  Alternate win con of {blazing shoal}+{progentius} to pump an {inkmoth nexus} or {blighted agent}.

Damn, they're up over $50 now. We might see a potential banning here. Altough then everyone will start playing Reanimator

They won't ban it. Not everyone is the world is playing it, and {Force of Will} is still legal, first turn wins don't happen anymore.

Sneak ({Sneak Attack}) n' Show ({Show and Tell}) is just the new reanimator. It just adds to the meta, it's not overwhelmingly overpowered.
