Got it @ midnight for 360. Pretty awesome, been playing nonstop. Graphics throwing me off though.

Just happy to play something new for once, lol

That game looks sick, but im a ps3 owner and that game gets over looked alot because its so much like god of war. But i when u get pretty far in it let me know if it was worth a buy or is it just worth renting for a week or so.

Rent bro. I played 5 hours last night. I'm sure ps3 one looks a little better but can't be that much...rent to be safe. The action is sick but the graphics...they are bad. Like 1st generation of games that came out for these systems bad. Cut scenes use no cg so it becomes even more apparent. There's bugs: I floated in the air once and had to restart game. The "crow father"...it looks cartoony but not that good. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND after 5 hours straight playing to RENT THE GAME FIRST. You might like it. I like everything except the graphics and bugs so if those don't bug u, then u will like it . It's been out for 12 hours and GameStop here had 6 copies used that people already traded in if that says anything.

How was the first one?  Is the gameplay good in both?

I have always cared about gameplay more then graphics with the exception of maybe a few games. Graphics are important but not as much as everything else in my opinion. I've been very tempted to get dark siders but now with the god of war saga about to come out. It was just the push I needed to get the ps3 finally.

@ BJ the first game was great!! Amazing story, great gameplay. It suffered from screen tear was about the only complaint

@ Terry: I prefer as well but when it has bugs too, it's rough. He runs on walls prince of Persia style. Well...I ran around one and fell or should have fallen and died...instead, I fell a bit then floated. Just stayed there. Tried everything. Had to restart. Screen tear is not as bad, just in background. However, the FPs(frames per second) suffered when there are 2-4 creatures to fight at the same time and the graphics..well honestly I prefer gameplay too but this is ugly.

It's ok of they wanted to lose the realism of the first game...but not to get to the point where it really, seriously, honestly looks almost 1st gen. Around characters there are those weird shading things where it's almost a white area around(like in Duke Nukem Forever) and the cut scenes..it looks like everyone is made of wood almost. also the words on screen are so small that even on my 48" screen sitting 5 feet away, I can't read it.

Im out $60 and love the story so going to keep playing. I'm genuinely depressed as I only can get one or two games a year and was looking forward to this. Hopefully the story can overcome this other stuff.

I def think rent before u buy applies though :(

Graphics mean squat to me, it is a slightly cartoony animation style anyway. I want to buy this game because I loved the first so much. It's more accurate to say it's a mashup between God of War and Legend of Zelda.

That's why I'm keeping it and going to do my best to ignore the graphics and bugs. Maybe they will patch them.

I'd say Zelda+God of War+ plus old style game called legacy of kain: soul reaver

It's just hard to play at times with the bugs and based on my addiction to the first one...im going to make myself get over the flaws somehow. The story still rules

I really do think graphics has to do alot with how i feel about a game. That being said ive been playing my snes for about 4 hours straight now. But u know what to expect visualy, now is xbox 360 or ps3 came out with a new game and it looked like a playstation 1 game i would not be happy. We have technolgy to make games look more real then life itself, and thats y gaming is what it is today

That's kinda how I feel. $60 is a lot of $ and I kind of expect at least on pat graphics. I play many older systems but expect those to look differently.

I played a lot more and another thing I found out is the camera sometimes gets lost while you fight and you literally lose sight of your character so u have to kinda mash away for the second or two it takes to reorient itself

I rarely ever buy a game that's not released cheaper as a "Greatest Hits". My theory is that if it ain't good enough for GH, it ain't good enough for me. 😏

This is the first game I've bought new in 2 years lol!

That's my strategy or to hit the local used place.

It sucks that the red box took every local dvd rental store out of every town they was in. I very rarely had to by video games before they left. I would just go rent the new game for about a week which was about $10 and if i likes it enough to where i knew i would want to play more of it i could either rent it again or just buy the copy i had rented. I kinda feel bad that kids in this generation will not get to experiance every game that comes out for a system like most of us did for the ps1 to ps2

Falcon182

Gamefly is good for rentals. They also have super cheap used games. I don't think you have to be a member to buy used. They always have some great games under $15 available on there.
