So I have not won a game of magic in a while. None of my decks have been working like they should be and one of my friends is making fun of me and gloating about it. I. AM. PISSED. This is just one of those situations where I just have no idea what to do! I have considered quitting magic and taking up something else, what do you guys think?

What decks have you been playing? I know MBC.

Well do you play Magic to win or because it's fun? If you wanna win, net deck. If you wanna have fun, keep cooking. It'll break your way eventually.

Ok, well, I should have specified. The decks that aren't working are the ones that are meant to win. My just for fun decks work but don't win (but they aren't meant to, so that doesn't really matter). But whenever I play to win, my decks don't seem to work, and my freind keeps gloating about this and saying that his decks are better, this is the main issue

Elf Wave - to win
Goblins - just for fun
MBC - not what you would expect (just for fun)
Delver - to win

Sounds to me like youre deck hopping. This usually leads to a low win-loss ratio. It could also be your game play not the deck. My team mate has been struggling with that lately. We figured out that his shuffling was clumping his land, and the order in which he played his cards in a turn lead to losses.

Is elf wave and delver up on the threads?

Here? Elf wave i have not seen, but there are lots of delver (mostly budget, deviant, and home brew though).

Hmm, it mainly that I'm not getting cards I need, or too many of one card or not the right combination. I have noticed misplays with Delver though.

And as far as deck hopping goes, I run a lot if decks at once. But the ones that are meant to win I study and find each cards different uses and purposes. So I know how to play them.

Elf Wave

This is relatively it

What is your prefered way to win? Combat damage, effect, direct burn, mill, combo, control lock down, etc.?
This is important because if you dont play your prefered way your chances of winning arent as good. A vested interest in your actions propels your mind to find the answers you need to reach your goal.

I love this concept, but it's not my play style.

Damage (combat). Which is what Elf Wave does. Delver strays from that a little more

Depending on how close your deck list to this one. I would drop the renegade leader and one green sun for 2 more crater hoof behemoths. I'll look more at the list.

Delver definitely wins via small pokes from various directions adding up over the turns.
Ok so we have a start on how to turn your luck around.
Next what does your teasing buddy play or claim is their best deck?
