Red doesn't seem worth the splash here imo.

Not worth {Hordling Outburst} and {Goblin Rabblemaster}? I kinda agree. I'd like to see {Dragon Fodder} and maybe {Stoke the Flames} to make it worthwhile.

Agreed. Butcher is also not that good.

At least not without {Bloodsoaked Champion} or another repeating sac thingy.

If he has rabblemaster, then he has a repeatable token to sac

If rabble is living you should be winning without needing sacrificial tokens and butcher.

There's this thing called stalemates. I've heard 5/4 fliers are pretty good at breaking them.

But yes if {Goblin Rabblemaster} is providing reliable sacs then you're already doing something right.

5/4s that die to most removal in the format do not necessarily get through board stalls. Rabble should be able to get through whatever stalemate is being presented and trade with whatever is clogging up the way.

You're comparing a 5/4 flier with potential lifelink that dies to most removal to a 2/2 token producer, that has potential get bigger and has a giant target painted in its head, but dies to an even greater amount of removal which includes all 2 powered creatures. The 5/4 flier fits a more reliable position.

But the major difference is, {butcher of the horde} does not win the game on his own. {goblin rabblemaster} does this easily.

If uncontested, a {goblin rabblemaster} will wreck opponents and clear paths. But that's just about the same for any real threat. {butcher of the horde} will be better in the long game if it succeeds in becoming uncontested by removal or creatures just like {goblin rabblemaster} is in the short game.

I would like to recommend {sidisi, undead vizier}. At least as a 2 of. You could exploit your tokens for the card you need to win
