{NECROPOTENCE}!!!!!!!

I dont get why its so good

At heart, Magic is a resource trading game. You trade cards for creatures, spells for cards, etc.

{Necropotence} basically is "Pay 1 life: Draw a card." What would you do - pay 2U for a {Divination} or pay 2 life?

Yes, the card is confusing and hard to grok. Just remember: It trades life for cards - and on a 1:1 ratio that's very good.

Coffee Vampire

Okay just think about it: {Sign in Blood} sees a lot of standard play. It is a pretty decent draw spell (and one of the only ones black has :().

Now think of casting sign in blood for free whenever you want!!!!

The effect is actually good in Commander in black decks because card advantage. The problem with it is that {Ambition's Cost} is 1 less.
