I just want to say I ran a mono blue deck with
20 counter spells
8 bounce cards ({vapor snag})
And 8 creatures.
No one else stood a chance...

It really depends on the format. {cavern of souls} has really hurt blue in standard. But in legacy {wasteland} eats them for breakfast while my {daze}s and {force of will} shut them down. For modern/ extended I really like mono-black. As for you green Hexproof junkies all I have to say to you is {devastation tide}, {sleep} and { cryptic command}.
