Well not tonight because of fnm but tomarrow

Cool, I will even play a creature oriented mono black deck instead of a traditional mono black control.  I love a good ole ground and pound Zoo battle.

Green has alot of hexproof actually:
{ascetism}
{troll ascetic}
{sacred wolf}
{canopy cover}
List goes on.
Plus you could always use buffs to prevent things like BSZ and negative removal
And you can also do removal the old fashion way like {lure} and soulbond with {nightshade peddler}. Also trample can be more effecient than things like fear bc it is removal and dmg all rolled into one.
And now with the game being more creature oriented, green meshes very well with almost any color now (not that black doesn't but green can present a different kind of threat)

Also it's a lot easier to ramp with green than any color giving you mana advantage.

Leviathan

Red... It's the most versatile color in magic IMO.

I don't always make a mono color deck, but when I do, I prefer white...

Rarely do I not use white

Eryama

It's totally red all the way. Most PT decks have a combo of cOlors, except RDW.

As much as I enjoy {R}, it is a sad panda against enchantments.  A pre-first turn {Leyline of Sancitity} is really hard for mono-{R} to deal with.  {W} and {U} can answer any threat (except for the odd Troll), either by countering, bouncing, or exiling.  I have no favs, but I think these two are the most versatile.

Very true. But burn is not the only thing red can do. Goblin decks care not for {Leyline of Sanctity}.

True, but they really dislike {Curse of Death's Hold}.  I'm not saying the {R} is a bad color, only that it (and mono-{B}) have no answers to enchantments and a less versatile.  Not less powerful.

(btw I look forward to making some mogg decks once M13 comes out.)

Mono black is more proactive tho.  You can destroy your opponents hand before they can cast those pesky enchantments.  Granted a leyline in the opening hand sux.....but like I said before "you can't not build a deck cuz of a couple hoser cards"

Willthomjr

White.

Flying creatures, first strike, lifelink, spot removal, mass removal. I like white
