That is alright. Make the deck with basic lands and when you get those cards. Start substituting

Can I substitute said Shocklands for RTR Guildgates or M13 duals?

Yes you can!!! But i would strongly suggest to use the m13 lands. Only because you actually have a chance to have them untapped. And if you do subsitute i would have more basic lands and less dual/m13 lands. And once you get the shock lands then substitute them in for the m13 lands first and then the basic lands. This deck would be really fun to play just because of enter the infinite. And if possible i would put in temporal masteries 👍👍
