Like the title says. I think we should start off with how many different colors?

I vote 2 or 3. Mono is fun and my preferance but too limited, 4 and 5 limit the general too much.

Rather than focus on "number of colors", I think that you could just leap straight in to "what commander should we use"?

I will go ahead and throw votes in for two of the newest commanders:

I like the constraints of fewer colors but mono-color decks can feel a little too suffocating.

Interesting. What happens when you have {Sen Triplets} + {Paradox Haze} in play? Do you get to choose two different opponent's? {Copy Enchantment} on {Paradox Haze}?

Copy enchant wont do anything, since paradox haze specifically says it will only work after the FIRST upkeep of the turn, so multiple copies of it won't stack.

However, it will work with sen triplets. If only you didn't have to pay to cast those spells.

I started to go down a rabbit-hole with {Omniscience} before I realized that it said "You may cast spells in your hand...". Foiled again. {Dream Halls} came to mind briefly but you will still never be casting those Red/Geen spells.

...It's just as well, those cards would have made me feel dirty anyway.

{mycosynth lattice} will let you play an opponent's {R} or {G} spells at least. Possibly {Exotic Orchard} too but I'm not so sure on that one.

I entirely forgot about {Mycosynth Lattice}.

I am pretty sure that cards like {Exotic Orchard}, {Rainbow Vale}, and {Felwar Stone} do not work. From mtgcommander.net:

"A deck may not generate mana outside its colours. If an effect would generate mana of an illegal colour, it generates colourless mana instead."

I think so. Good colors too. Black gives us many tutors and a lot of removal, Blue gives us counterspells and card draw, and white is well... White. Lol
