I need a question about the stack and how this situation resolves, been using birthing pod forever but I've never really known how it's supposed to resolve and in this case it matters so this is the question:

I have a {Flayer of the Hatebound} and a {Birthing Pod} in play.  I sack the Flayer and go get an {Elesh Norn Grand Cenobite.  My question is which creature comes in}to play first? I'm trying to do 7 damage with the flayer's undying ability activating while Norn's on the field.

Well when u use birthing pods ability that's on the stack first then his undying trigger goes next then he comes back then he deals damage then u can go search for your elesh

If it your turn you should decide the order that is my guess

Not quite, sacrificing is part of the cost of birthing pod, not the effect. Therefor results of that sacrifice (like undying) are going to happen before the effect of birthing pod (searching for a creature) is even put on the stack.

Im about 90% sure that's correct anyway. it may be put on the stack, then as costs are paid, undying and whatnon will be put on top of it. Actually now that I think about it, THAT is probably the real way it goes down.

I think I had it right about a day ago your paying the cost to put birthing pod on stack before anything else happens.  Soon as you sacrifice the creature birthing pod ability is on the stack.

flayer will undie before norn enters the battlefield.
