Hmm solitaired a few times and tbh I don't think it's fast enough, outta 7 solitairs I got 2, turn 2 wins the others were 4 or more

Leevai420

4 more creatures would do well in this. I'd go for {necropede}

I've played a deck similar to this in legacy and I placed top 3...

ChrisRodriguez

Modern is not as fast as y'all think. Earliest win possibilities is turn 4 on average now at least. Making mono-green infect standard deck into a modern deck should make it more consistent. I suggest adding 4 {Cathidral of War} and {Rancor}. Those cards plus {wild defiance} should help your deck.

Willthomjr

I agree with Chris. Yes there is some decks that win prior to t4...but this isn't legacy. T4 win is still really good. I think if you can drop {wild defiance} t3 you can win.

I think it will do just fine.

I'm not sure why {gitaxian probe} is here...looking at your opponents hand / drawing a card isn't that great.

I am also playing GU Infect but I am using 4 Spellskite and 4 Wild Defiance which are simply perfect for this. In fact, this works very good with only 4 Blighted Agent and 2 Blight mambas as infect creatures. And I really love 4 Rancor with this.
It works pretty well with only 10 infection sources ( 4 Nexus, 4 Agent, 2 Mamba). I've also used the elves but they were too easy to handle for my opponents. And I really managed some 4 turn kills like that:
1) play nexus
2) play Forest, activate Nexus for 1 poison
3) play forest, play wild defiance, activate nexus for 1 poison
4) play island, activate nexus, play groundswell, attack --> 8 poison.

Of course, pretty lucky. But realistic.
Most times you won't need more than 6 turns.

On #3 how can you attack with {inkmoth nexus} when you tap out to play {wild defiance}

DirtyManni

Yep, I see you're right. Just wanted to show an ideal game. I mainly intended to show the perfect boost of wild defiance.
When it comes to matches with aggro burn/ goblin decks ( which I have to face often) the defiance protects your infect creatures in most cases. And the spellskites in combination with that often made them untouchable and made me even add the apostoles blessing only to the sb.

Those are too slow for infect. Even for standard infect those are too slow
