You can have four of any card with a specific name in a deck. If you want, you can have four {Jace Beleren}s and four {Jace the Mind Sculptor}s if you really want.

There's no limit to the number of basic lands though.

The hazard of four of a given Planeswalker is that you can only have one of them on the board, just like Legendary creatures.

Moreover, you can't have two different versions of the same planeswalker in play. If {Jace, the Mind Sculptor} is on the battlefield, neither {Jace, Memory Adept} nor another {Jace, the Mind Sculptor} can be out.

Lies you can have both in play for a split second then they both die.

I'm fully aware. You'll notice I compared them to the legendary rule...

Is there significance to them both existing for a split second or are you just trolling?

There is significance if you have a "whenever you play a spell, deal 2 damage to target player" or similar, and the opponent has only 1 life, and your only cast able spell in hand is another jace
