Personally, I want to update my already made ravnica decks. So I'd be pretty upset if the guild mechanics (assuming they make new ones) don't have very good synergy with the ones that are already out. I don't want to have 2 decks based on my favorite guilds. Although after giving it some thought, I suppose that wouldn't be too horrible.
