Never been to FNM. How to avoid looking like an idiot

Yes turn order is very important know the steps of each phase. Example don't say your attacking and start tapping all your creatures. Declare your attack and give them a second to respond. Also ask to see your opponents cards before you  touch them.

I lost a {Midnight Haunting} at FNM once. I wasnt thrilled. Just keep track of your stuff.

Take a bag to keep all of your stuff together. It will help you keep track of all you stuff. Always ask if your oppenent wants to cut after you shuffle. Keeping your trades organized will help while trading, even if you don't have a lot. Main thing is to ask when you are unsure.

I'm sure I will think of more things to help you. And then as for which place to play at, I would try the newer one the has a small turn out at first. To get the hang of what goes on at an fnm.
