Uh, in stand firm the reminder comes right after the ability. Just like other cards. In the supposed rtr card, the reminder for populate comes not after populate, but after the indestructable.

What I now imagine it to be for the guild leader:

When ~ enters the battlefield, put a creature token into play, then populate.

I certainly don't think this a broken card at all.

If its real, it wont even see play beyond limited prob.

didn't wotc say they wouldn't make common cards complicated? not to say that this card is overly complicated but with two keywords it might beffuddle a new player.

But they are constantly updating and improving their manual.  WotC is always willing to evolve formatting to yield better results.
There seems to be a lot of division on this card for many reasons.

In terms of power, I suppose a way to look at it is "how exited would I be to see this in a rare or uncommon slot?" Frankly, I'd MUCH rather have something like an {Oblivion Ring}, {Acidic Slime}, or {Vampire Nighthawk}. It won't function in a non-token deck, and unless you happen to have a creature token AND a reason to need a one-time use of Mass Indestructibility, it's no 2-for-1. At a mana cost of {2}{W}, I think common is appropriate for the card. Even if not a hoax, I don't think most people would run it.

I do know that I want it for my human deck. I would love to Populate my 5/5 Demon tokens...

Think of it like a variation on {Safe Passage} with a bonus if you have a token.  Works against {Day of Judgment} but not {Mutilate}.  Doesn't protect you.
And you don't need a token to cast it, since it doesn't target.

Although, if they DO make this card, here's my preemptive combo:

{Archaeomancer} + {Cackling Counterpart} + {Rootborn Defenses}

(on second thought, is the Defenses needed?  XD)
