I have a question regarding {Ascendant Evincar}'s ability. If I have him on the BF and a red/black creature also on the BF, does the red/black guy get +1/+1 for being black and -1/-1 for being red?

Thanks for any help :-).

Basically the creature gets both and they cancel each other out. At least that's my thought

Sorry but no. I've had some serious discussions over cards like this one. This is an either/or situation.  A card can either be white or not.  If you had a pet, it couldn't be both a cat and not a cat. (Now, if you were Schroëdinger...)

If it has white in the CC, it gets the boost, otherwise the minus. ðŸ"¨

How does white fit into this equation?

😳 Whoops!  Got him confused with his color-shifted version, {Crovax, Ascendant Hero}.

The same logic applies: black/non-black, creature/non-creature, bacon/non-delicious.

So what are you saying, wouldn't a {Murderous Redcap} not have anything happen to it? It is both Black and Red.

He would get +1/+1 because he's black. He's also red, but that doesn't mean he's not black. If you replace "non-black" with "not black" it will make more sense. ;)
