It's a good chance of an early flyer with a decent P/T. I'd recommend checking out other ideas on here, there are plenty of fun decks that recieve less hate. Plus with so many other people playing him, it'll make for a nice change. Since you say you're new, look for an idea that sounds fun, and build what you want. You'll enjoy the game more playing in a style you enjoy.

the aggro control deck of our time. in all of its iterations it hinges on flipping {delver of secrets}. backed up with a suite of blue sorceries and instants which provide consistency and disruption in {ponder}{gitaxian probe} and {manaleak} which can be reused by {snapcaster mage}. in order to make a quicker kill delver is backed by equipments such as {runechanter's pikes} and {sword of war and peace}. other colors are splashed for more removal whether it is red burn white comprehensive black disruption etc.

I posted a few tries at decks under casual, but I can't really decide on cards for standard decks.

I just built a standard 100 card singleton, wolves/werewolves. It was all random pulls, no expensive {huntmaster of the fells} or even {Mayor of Avabrook}. But it's fun!
G/W Angels and Humans is also a favorite of mine.

Considering it was reported that about, what, 52% of decks in tournament play were delver decks, my guess is closer to 48% hate it

But I can beat 'em, so I'll continue not playing Blue 
