I enjoy Jason Mraz. His voice is soothing and he performs just as well live as recorded.

My other favorites:

Mumford and Sons
Of Monsters and Men
Ed Sheeran
The Shins
Kings of Convenience
Florence and the Machine
and Blind Pilot.

I really wanted to go to the vans warped tour but was unable. $40 for so many great artists. Why I hate Oklahoma. Nothing awesome here.

I'm going to the Tampa Fl one I wanna meet Ronny so bad<333

Aladormax

I can't stop listening to my old vinyl collection, Beatles, rolling stones, led zeppelin, the who, and pink floyd all have a seperate space there. The Motown heyday was good too. As to more "modern" music I listen to green day, and most of what shows up on that pandora station.

Brandalog

Motionless in white
Casino Madrid
Owl city
Born of Osiris
Shadows fall.

A lot more that I'm not thinking of atm

Silent1236

I'm going to prolly have to check out Motionless in White.  A lot of you seem to say that is a good band.

I don't wanna be that guy, but I'm gonna be that guy. I absolutely hate Asking Alexandria. They, along with nearly every other metalcore band out there have turned metal into a cesspool where bands have no reason to try and create their own sound or style because they can simply throw together a crappy intro, some screams, and breakdowns and know that people will listen. It's killing all creativity in metal.

EDIT: Merzbow... is it even music?

Ok im goin to have to say something about this cuz alot of ppl dont seem to understand. In the 80s most the bands out sounded the same. Like poison bon jovi, and so on. Yeah they where a lil diffrent but not by much. In the 90s the same thing happened it was grundge, 2000 was when screaming and massive guitar solos took over. Now its screaming and a really good drummer in the band. Dnt get me wrong theres alot of bands out there i cant stand. But it comes with the style of music thats out. If u dnt like the music just wait abother 10 years and it will all change again maybe into something you like.

I agree with Sevenfold.  Either that, or you'll realize that the music then sucks and you'll think the music today isn't too bad.

To be honest, I really miss rock.  I listen to modern metal/screamo because it's the closest, really.  Most of today's music is this pop bs that people think is good or some crappy rap about drugs and sex.  And fights.  And rape.  And so on.  That may be stereotyping a bit, but it still sucks.

If anyone is looking for decent rock-ish music, def check out Rise Against if you haven't already.  They're amazing.
