Trinkets? Gems? A Interplanar Dollar?

I'd say a simple barter system. I mean the planes they walk to would have they're own currency already in most cases. I assume, if they even needed goods or services, they'd barter. Threaten. Jedi mind trick. But I doubt there's a universal dollar so to speak

Black trades in life and corpses as staded in a grixis card i cant remember!
Blue doesnt trade it just takes via manipulation. Ocasional knowledge for knowledge trade i guess.
Green doesnt need to trade they cultivate their own and usually keep away from shops because of trample.
Red steals at flamepoint or simply scavenge scrap.
White tends to follow the rules and probably trade with favors and aid.

Bolas takes what he wants, screw "trading".  Jace probably does pull Jedi-{Mind Control}. Blue IS the color of stealing after all. Although Chandra would take what she needs and give it back when she done with it (ie it's broken or used up. 😁)
