Tokens......

Im really new to playing mtg. I have quiet a few cards the tell me when i summon it to put a counter of some kind of creature onto the battlefield. How in the world do i go about doing this? Please help

When you play the card. If it says put one or two or whatever tokens. You treat them as 1/1 creatures unless otherwise stated.

You must use something that show you have those tokens out.

a die, a scap of paper, a card from another deck face down..anything really works

Modern booster packs have tokens in them, but I usually use glass beads from a craft store. They're dirt cheap an you can different colors.

Or use 1 paperclip to symbolize the creature and the other paperclips connected to it to show it strength and toughness

One guy at my FNM uses pokemon cards. I use pigs from an awful game called "pass the pigs". Finally, a good use for them!
