I'm guessing they're saving the awesome lands for RtR block instead.  If they DO print anything like shock-lands of old, {Gem of Becoming} is going to be redonk!

Hopefully WotC reprints the original duals. Underground Sea in standard 😉

WAY too OP!  The original dualies will never see reprint.  They are on the Reserve list, meaning the only one's ever out there are all you'll ever see.

In some ways I'm happy. In terms of dual lands the core tap lands arent overpowered, I am happy I don't have to purchase new lands, and Ravnica might actually have cool new lands.

Coffee Vampire

Meh you are right...at least I get to keep my sunpetals! :x

Ravinica better have gud lands though! :0

Jake, Fart Sculptor

I'm sure they were stuck reprinting the tap lands, if they printed new duals, imagine that for almost 4 months how many duel lands would be in standard. It's cool to imagine, but always unlikely

If it were 10 shock lands then since Innistrad printed enemy tap lands, so i was like "ok, maybe they want enemy colors to benefit from having 2 different dual land" (shocks and innistrad tap). But instead they reprint the allies.

It just about seals the deal for me, I won't be getting a booster box. I'll stick with the intro decks and a fat pack.

I was kidding! :D

I think it's long shot that we may ever see new subtyped dualies printed, outside of the shocks coming back for Ravnica.

I wish they would of done the pain lands instead. If you don't know which ones im talking its the 10th edition lands. (i.e. {shivan reef})

Why pain lands? Shocks do almost the same thing..

Dudecore

Pain lands are wildly unpopular with the casual base. It's hard enough extoll the benefits of Shock Lands and Fetch lands.

Newer players don't like the idea of taking damage.  It's harder for them to see the benefit.

I'll play life for anything anyday to win. But for mana and especially not a huge benefit, I'll pass. In EDH anyway.
If it was standard I wouldn't {think twice} about paying life for the right mana.
