I was goin to say...

I agree with you on some level, that things people do in their privacy shouldnt matter. But you can't apply that to all situations, like someone printing counterfeit money in the privacy of their home is probably not something we should let slide.

Of course not. I believe when it comes to things like cockatrice and this app, that its not harming anyone, nor trying to profit off the mtg name itself. Therefore, it shouldn't be an issue.

Let's all take a gander at the first amendment. Freedom of speech. Oh wait, another one? Freedom to assemble.

Looks to me like we have the right according to the constitution, as long as the programs do not profit from the trademarked MTG name.

I know not everyone is American, but wizards of the coast is as far as I know.

I am not equipped to argue copywrite or other laws beyond a certain depth, but I will say this:

For everyone here who plays 'Trice, if the program didn't exist, would you instead play DotP2013 or MTGO?

Both

BlackJester

For me, 'trice is just like Torrents. I don't deserve something I didn't pay for.

Couldn't have said it better myself

already doing so?

Personally ive looked at the stuff for trice and its legit. It uses the oracles website to produce tge card images and text. The person whom "owns" trice doesnt make money from it and doesnt use any actual infingements :) hence why its legal and hasnt been shut down!

Leviathan

my mentality has always been "if you love it, advocate for it and make growth possible." i.e. $$$

ive torrented anime before but always bought the box set as well. (my disk drive is broken :( )

Pirate Bay didn't break any laws in the country it was situated in, whichever country it had to relocate to for the umpteenth time.  The "letter of the law" and the "spirit of the law" are two different things.  I'm not saying I hate all torrenting, just that they can be abused by people who believe they aren't hurting anyone.

Choose for yourself, but I won't be joining you.

Pirate bay is awesome.
