Arc trail?

So I was playing and I was unsure about something.

I have a planeswalker out and {Etched Champion} with metalcraft. He {Arc trail}s me and redirects it to my planeswalker.

Where does he HAVE to make the other damage go to?

Yeah, you cant target a planes walker and a player (unless it's yourself)

In this situation he would have to target his opponent and himself if they are the only legal targets 🔨
