This is false. When a creature is regenerated it doesn't lose any counters.

Example, fnm a couple weeks ago I had an opponent regenrate a {blood flow conniesuer} and I called the judge for actual ruling. He informed me that the creature doesn't lose it's counters or actually go to the GY

So to answer the op question, the avenger would die.

Regenerate does not remove the -1/-1 counters off the creatures because it doesn't enter the GY.

Let's say your creature dies from combat damage or a spell that doesn't specify "cannot regenerate". Then yøū can bring it back.

Incinerate vs doom blade?  What do u mean by that?  Regenerate also works against destruction not just damage.  Doom blade or even day of judgement can't kill a creature if it has it's regenerate shield up already

Please read what I said. I specifically said that a creature can regenerate unless a card says otherwise. OBVIOUSLY I was making an example. Can regenerate from doomblade, CANNOT from incinerate.
