I feel like snappy would be less bad without flash

What gave you that indication?

Left alone. Cards get banned or restricted when they're haphazardly thrown into every deck. Like {Skullclamp} and {Ume Zawa's Jitte}. Sure they're artifacts and CAN be put into any deck but they work incredibly in any deck, unlike our friend Tiago. Anyone tried splashing blue for him in Wolf Run Ramp? RG Aggro? BW tokens? Etc.

Left alone.
Jester says so. The debate is done.
That doesn't sound like fun debating to me. Would that make me the master debater?

The question shouldn't be "Is it too powerful?" The question is "Does it make the format less fun?"
Do you hate playing against Snappy?  Does he push people to make certain decks?  Are top decks in the format forced to either play with him or play around him?
Are games with Snappy still interesting to play and watch?

R&D really hates to have cards banned, it means that they've failed. And remember, {Grafdigger's Cage} stops him entirely. You have an answer built into the format. Are players main decking Cage as a result?  I don't think so.

SpiritedAway

I think Tiago is very fun to play with. I was about to die from a {Silverblade Paldin} bound to a {Mirran Crusader} and I had nothing but a {Snapcaster Mage} in hand and no blockers. I flashed {Righteous Blow} to kill the Crusader and blocked the Paladin and the dude scooped.

I think {Snapcaster Mage} equalizes a lot of scary monsters in Magic like those aforementioned white dudes.

I also think because he is mana intensive, that equalizes him a bit too. Anybody ever played a turn two Snapcaster? Nah. Didn't think so.

*sob* Leave snappy alone! T.T Leave him alone! *sob*

In a similar vein, and in defense of {Snapcaster Mage}, while he is so powerful, he's the type of card you WANT to give blue players. He represents everything blue is about.

And perhaps he wouldn't be so strong if his body wasn't dangerous. But the truth is, he can trade, hold a sword and everything else.

I think any Delver deck wouldn't operate remotely similar without him. If you look at tournament decks too, {Delver of Secrets} gets sideboarded vs. control.

Snapcaster and delver sure seem like popular targets for the "overpowered" debate, and yes, they are both very very powerful cards when used properly, but I just don't see them getting hit with the ban hammer.

I am more expecting them to ban {mana leak}, considering that they have already come out and said how much they don't like it. Purely speculation, of course.

Eryama

I love snappy! He is a really cool card. There is a ton of potential with his effect. I just wish people would spend more time beating him or making new decks instead of dropping 100 bucks for a playset and doing the same deck that everyone else is.

They don't have to ban mana leak.  Just don't expect to see it reprinted.

Nah man {snapcaster mage} isn't the problem, it's definitely {frost Titan}
