Does {doom blade} work the same as a {cancel}. What I mean is if my opponent plays a creature spell while that spell is on the stack if I play a {doom blade} on the stack before his creature spell resolves the creature will be destroyed once my {doom blade} resolves and if the creature had abilities that would trigger when entering the BF they would not trigger because the creature never entered the BF. Is this correct? 

Also one more scenario I play a spell, my opponent plays a {mana leak} on top of it. I in return pay the 3 mana to counter the {mana leak}. My opponent then played another {mana leak} on the same spell since I had no more mana to tap. So basically he played 2 {mana leak}'s on the same spell. I want to know if he can do that or does my spell resolve once I tapped the 3 mana to counter the {mana leak}.

The first scenario ETB effects do take place because in order for doomblade to work the creature must be on the field.

Second scenario, your opponent's second mana leak counters what ever spell you played. You only paid for the first not the second.

{doom blade} has to target a creature on the BF so NO you could not target a creature spell while it is still on the stack.  You would have to let the creature enter the BF before casting doom blade on it.


And yes you can play 2 {mana leaks} to counter the same spell if you need to.
