Well, yes of course TWO 13/13s are better that one, but cloning or copying a huge creature isn't really a combo. It's just a smart play.

The idea here is to cheat out a 13/13 by turn four.

Okay, let's try this again:

Step 1: have {Civilized Scholar} and {Ludevic's Test Subject} in play

Step 2:  use {Cytoshape} to turn the Test Subject into the Scholar

Step 3: use the new Scholar's (which used to be a Test Subject) ability to draw a card and discard a creature card.

Step 4: transform the New scholar/old Test Subject to its other face. Violà !  You now have a 13/13 on turn four, ready to attack.

This is legitamate?  It won't transform into {civilized scholar}'s backside?  Is that because it only changes the front of the card?

Cheating the Test Subject V2.0

Step1: Cast {Amoebiod Changling)

Step2: Cast {Ludevic's Test Subject}

Step3: Turn the Test subject into a human with the changeling and cast {Moonmist}

Viola!  Turn four (or three with mana accel) 13/13

Step4: Demolish!
