I would only suggest long distance if in a very serious and long term relationship. I was with my gf for 2.5 years before we had to go long distance, now we are 2 years into our 3 years of long distance.(she left for university)

That said going 3+ months without seeing each other at times is emotionally exhausting. You never really know what the other person is doing. If you're the jealous type, or insecure about how faithful your partner is, I imagine it would be even worse. In my case it is just loneliness.

I agree about the serious relationship and long term relationship. My problem is the communication breakdown. I've never been a jealous guy, so I think I could handle the rest.
I mean, I've been lonely for a long time. I'd imagine it's more bearable knowing you have someone.
