Dude, just tell the girl how you feel about her, she isn't going for this other guy he just asked her out, if she really wanted him she wouldn't have bothered to consult you before giving him an answer, she would have just straight up said yes, she cares about how you feel and that's important, your life may be a mess but she might be the one thing that goes right, the first step toward fixing yourself

@ELLERfeller: I understand the perspectives. My life starts when I get a job, get my license, and get a real plan for my life. Will I really be able to give someone the attention they deserve when I'm working through all that? I don't know. I'm working on cleaning up my life but it's a slow process.

@Apathy Reactor: I know I shouldn't care. But that's the problem. I haven't been able to sort put my feelings because I've spent all this time trying to convince myself I only like her as a friend when it's not true. I would have a cat over that glorified rat but I'm literally deathly allergic so. I can survive without cuddles. Even if I'd rather not. xD

@Taysby & Mardu Arrow: she's talking to the guy today. I'll find out how that goes then take it from there. If she decides to say yes I'll maintain silence. Otherwise I guess it's finally time to speak up.

I did it.

I missed the opportunity. They're together now.

Now I need to figure out how to he happy for them and get over everything myself.

Odds are she'll slowly start talking to me less and less. Then she'll move and that'll be that.

I hate feelings. It shouldn't have taken her getting interested in somebody to get me to feel. And it shouldn't have taken them getting together for me to figure myself out.

But this is my life and I continue to live with the choices I've made. Even if I can't live with myself today.
