I think people are sideboarding it in Legacy against things like Show and Tell, as well as the other reasons.

Ya in legacy it counters:

{Show and Tell}
{Infernal Tutor}
{Burning Wish}
{Ponder}

On top of a lot of other spells those just being the major ones. Also, delirium in Legacy is so easy to do by T2 or 3 (fetch, instant, sorcery, creature)
