I think I cast my first ever game winning counterspell today.
Was playing around with duels, brewed an URdrazi deck (UR Eldrazi control would be the archetype I think).
I was playing against this RG ramp deck, went to 7-6 in my opponents with 13 ingested cards on his side. Then I drew into {Cryptic Cruiser} and cast it. My opponent attacked with his two creatures, {Kird Chieftain} &  {Primal Huntbeast}, then pumped his beast to survive combat, and went to cast {ravaging blaze} for 3. It would have finished me, would I not have had a counter in hand & mana open.
Now I can truly call myself a Magic player amirite?
