Nice with {equilibrium} and a clone. Always have a Venser on hand. Or any bounce really.

Another control nasty is {ertai, wizard adept}. Pretty much say NO to anything. Finish them off with {lullmage mentor}'s tokens.

I love me some  {Azami, Lady of Scrolls} with a bunch of wizards, counter spells, and time walks you can just lock the board down.

 {Damia, Sage of Stone} best control general. Hands down. Best colors in EDH, and whenever your hand is empty, your commended will refill it all
