And I've always liked the cutthroat a bit better because enchantments will fall off of river guide if he pros himself

I agree. Plus card draw is nice. Any cards you'd recommend then?

{sygg, river guide} equipment voltron. His ability makes him nearly impossible to remove and you get the added satisfaction of killing people with a fishy torso

And so many ways to get non-blue players to still have islands..
I think evasion wins out over card draw here.
