Modern FFA Help!

[An Angry Fatman]

My shop recently started a Modern FFA night and it looked pretty cool. I play a bit of modern but I am an aggro player. It looks like the decks that were doing the best were the mid-range minded. So I decided to try and make a more midrange deck with some cards in my trade binder. I have a playset of the following and would like to use them as a starting basis. Ideas appreciated!

{Soul Warden}
{Blade Splicer}
{Restoration Angel}
{Path to Exile}

Any ideas where to go with this?

If you'd add a set of {suture priest}, wouldn't that kill off twin when they combo off?
Wondering because I just found a stack of these with my white commons, and Soul Sisters might be a fun and cheap deck to build for modern.

It would but them being a 4 Snapcaster 4 lightning bolt some number of roast and other burn spells deck, suture priest is unlikely to live. I'd recommend {auriok champion} even grixis decks with terminate and what not can't kill it and their only way to combo is crypticing it end step and untapping with twin. And having already resolved exarch.

You could pick up 2 Kiki jikis and go Kiki chord

Mono black devotion sounds really sick. You can hide behind {Vampire Nighthawk} and {Phyrexian Obliterator} then pretty much just won with {Gray Merchant of Asphodel}. I play a lot of multiplayer and the best decks are ones that have late game reach, sustain and strong defence. For example,

Esper Superfriends with {Fog Bank} & {Guard Gomoza} (basically anything with those two cards)

Mono black devotion.

B/W extort, B/W lifegain

G/W tokens, G/W enchantments

B/U multiplayer mill

Those are the best decks in our games. Aggro is bad because everybody will focus you and you will die first. If you really want to win, {Splinter Twin}, {Jeskai Ascendancy} combo are the best decks IMO.

Correct answer here. Someone will have removal for your twin, grishoalbrand is too narrow, amulet if someone has removal you still got two lands out of the deal, and if they didn't you get a ton of lands. It's really hard to deal with hive mind too which is a big plus.
