Yes, lots of cards are, but cards like {Outland colossus} are not, and its stuff like that, that I need to find ways to renown

{rancor} or {Heartwood Shard} could help there, or other things giving trample.

Counterspell is {1} cheaper than {cancel}, yet the counters in the deck are all situational.
They either counter creature or non-creature, so you could be stuck with the wrong one.

If even go with a personal favorite  {Mana Leak}  It's just great early game and late isn't to bad to get a big move by an opponent

Yes and those two actually cost something in $

Yes they cost a little more but better in magic normally means more $ but they aren't that expensive maybe 1-5 depending
