Apparently, {Cloud Key} with {Sol Rings} are broken.
I don't see anything wrong with colorless Mox..
Let's add  {Voltaic Key} & {rings of brightheart}...

Opened guards like that are like mmo characters only wearing the most minimalistic armours. That is speaking if you would use them for anything other than show. I see that in shows/movies and lose it.

The entire point in a hand guard is to protect your hand. If you don't know how important that is you haven't fought much with a sword. An open guard is almost purely aesthetic. Some swords don't have guards by design. Generally that's because the fighting style they were intended for makes hand hits rare. (They're also in the dishonourable category)

You'll notice that pirates, some of the dirtiest and realist of fighters, used cutlasses. Most cutlasses have /big/ hand guards. The other advantage is that you can punch people in the face with a ghetto brass knuckle.

And yet, there is such a thing as halfswording

No, this is so you can add/remove/change hands without the obstruction of the hand guard.

A very valid point that I missed. Kudos.
