Need ideas for side board options

Spencer Addington

Making the same deck. How do you like the mana leaks? Sideboard needs leylines and some kind of enchantment destruction against apposing leylines. Stone silence is an all star against affinity. Also, I feel like tron is a  very weak match up, so I like putting a terrastidon in the sideboard to replace iona.

You should also have 1 ghost quarters man board. It's excellent against man lands and with life from the loam it can become a repeatable wasteland against greedy decks. Against a lot of basics it will just be a colorless land, which isn't terrible.

Funny story, was playing bloom against a loam deck. I had 3 bounce lands in play so if he ghost quartered one id be fine, so he pops off one of them then life from the Loams the quarter back to blow up my second and I lost automatically at my upkeep because I couldn't pay my {Summoners pact} upkeep cost.

Great suggestions. Thanks man. I'll be making those changes.

Also, {academy ruins} and engineered explosives hurts  jund and junk rhino pretty hard since the top of there curve is 4 and most things are 2 cmc. It's repeatable and it's mean.

Why sword?

Because it has pro B and W which stops pretty much all forms of removal in modern. And gets me back a creature if one of my finishers gets killed. I just thought it would be really good against all those abzan and jund decks running around. Was just a thought though.

Why no lingering souls main board?

I don't know...I didn't know lingering went in this deck. What decks is it good against? And how many do you run? And what do I take out for them?

Spencer Addington

He lingering souls is pretty much a survival thing. Have access to so many chump blocks is amazing. It's not really necessary, but I like it.

I run 4, but I love the card. Most lists run 2, but your build seems to be more counter magic heavy, so it might not fit.
