Why am I seeing all these decks lately with such a lack of basic lands... Too many "come into play tapped" lands. You just scoop to {blood moon} type effects...

Color fixing maybe key, but land destruction on bounce lands, blood moon type effects, and cards like  {Wave of Vitriol}, which were made specifically for EDH, do exsist. I always recommend 2 of each basic land type for everydeck, what if someone  {Path to Exile}'s your creature and you needed a blue mana, but now all you have to get is a mountain? I think it's just poor deck building imo.

Also, on a side note, cards like  {Everglades} Don't even fix your mana, it just makes your mana awkward. I very much dislike cards like these.

EDH is a casual format, many people don't run cards like that at all. If your playgroup does, then yes, you'll want some basics. Also, those lands you mentioned are pretty terrible.

So, runnin {drought} or {conversion} would be frowned apon as well I take it. Still would be pretty funny to drop {conversion} after someone laid out {blood moon}. Lol

I mean there's my mono white "I take no damage, also f u deck" then there's messing with lands.
