Brewed this up in about 10 minutes. I'm a little behind on my standard knowledge so any glaring absences (and of course normal suggestions) are appreciated, sideboard suggestions would be great too.

Should I play {mastery of the unseen}? It seems like a good mana sink and a good late game card against wraths.

Estel2931

{Kytheon, Hero of Akros}? What about {End Hostilities}? I like the idea of having a board wipe available if need be. There's also options such as {Return to the Ranks} available. I'm not an expert by any means on this style deck, but those cards come to mind for me.

Ohh and maybe {Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit}?

Ekann1

Oh right, I was thinking about Kytheon and how he's not in the database and how I needed to get a filler for him in the meantime and then I completely forgot :P thanks.

I feel like {end hostilities} could be good in the sideboard but this is a creature based deck so I'm a little hesitant to play it. I've tried Return in other various builds and it has been very underwhelming for me. I'll pass on that one. Anafenza sounds really good though, probably need to test it and {consuls lieutenant} to see which is better.

Ekann1

Until kytheon is in the database, those last 3 spots are where he'll be.

Estel2931

I figured you'd say that about {End Hostilities}...just thought if mention it in case it slipped your mind :)

Have you considered {Celestial Flare} at all?

Kaylesh

With Oreskos, I'd think the slower pace of Anafenza will be pretty well compensated by the triggers.
(when thinking on Anafenza vs lieutenant.)

{anafenza, kin tree spirit} read again, non token :(

No worries, suggestions are always good :)

I like celestial flare, maybe in the board against Ojutai and the like. It seems a little narrow to be played in the main (I'm expecting lots of Rabblemasters and things), but again, testing should help. I'm really relying on the Irregulars to get blockers out of the way, not so sure if celestial flare is what I'm looking for for that plan.

At the very least I'd keep it in the sideboard. Like you said, it will get rid of Ojutai but also {Silumgar, the Drifting Death}. U/B Control is getting a little stronger with Origins so I'd expect a little uptick with that deck.

Estel2931

There's also {Citadel Siege} which I believe is better than {Kytheon's Irregulars}. It's a little more consistent with the 2 options is gives you and you don't need to keep paying the WW for the tap effect to happen and the Siege doesn't need to be renowned. I know its not a creature, but I like it more with this deck honestly.

I was thinking that paying WW is better because I can generate so much mana with nykthos that I might be able to just tap down their whole board. With citadel I can only tap one a turn.

Yeah, all the big control dragons who attack alone were what I had in mind.

Estel2931

I get what you are saying about the Irregulars...Im still partial the Siege...test them both out and decide from there :)

Splicer

I think tht mastery would be good because
-If you get to late game you'll need a mana sink
-It triggers anafenza
-It will get you extra life
-You will hit creatures most of the time
