When a creature dies {kheru bloodsucker} makes it so that i take two damage and my opponent heals two, i swing with five creatures, they are all 6/6's he blocks 4 of them and has 2 health left, Two of them die. Would kheru bloodsucker trigger and save my opponent, or is he dead in the water?

Well actually bloodsucker gains YOU the life, not your opponent.

I think in this scenario the opponent controls the sucker

Right! My mistake, sorry about that. In that case, damage dosen't kill the creatures after state-based actions have caused the player to lose the game, right?

Bloodsucker looks at creatures you control with toughness greater than 4. If one dies, you gain 2, opponent loses 2.
If your opponent controls the bloodsucker, it will look at his creatures, not at yours.

But that asides, your creatures deal damage to him and his blocking creatures. Then, state based actions are checked. These will cause creatures with lethal damage to die, and at the same time cause your opponent to lose the game.

Short version: triggered abilities like these will not save you when you get 0 life or less.

Edit: sorry noble, missed your post.
