I want to make a green commander deck that is friendly to everyone playing, but still is able to protect itself from attacks. Any ideas of some good cards?

This deck exists, usually in bant, aka {W}{U}{G}.

Look up "group hug EDH". You get to run {Pheldagryff}!

Cool, and have a happy thanksgiving, is what I'll be saying when I play this type of deck

 {Collective Voyage},  {Hunted Troll}

{Zedruu the Greathearted} isn't a bad idea

Usually that's played with things that hamper your opponent, I don't know if it would work very well as a group hug commander.

Just play good cards then give them to your opponents..

What's to keep your opponents to stomp your face with the good cards though?
Granted, you'll likely be the last target because they want to keep your goodies, but still.

Let's be honest. Does group hug REALLY wanna win anyways?

The goal, from what I've seen in my meta atleast, is to speed up the game and make your opponents kill each other with your help. The phelgagriff player in my meta always Concieds when it's him and another person left.

Ah, ok. I thought the idea was to be 'nice guy' and gain enough time to pull off something incredibly powerful at the end-game, like {overrun} with some huge amount of Saprolings or something.

What about gorzo's chaos deck? That thing seemed really fun for everybody?

If/when I build group hug it's going to have the {Presence of Gond} combo or something as a win con. I want to find a realistic combo for {Squirrel Nest}.

Voyaging Satyr and intruder alarm make infinite squirrels with squirrel nest. So does that tap a creature you control untap target land card thing

Throw down  {Opposition} with this and you can tap down everything...
